STÉPHANE RENARD

BIOGRAPHY

Contrabassist, composer and arranger STÉPHANE RENARD holds a Diplôme d'État de Jazz.

He has performed with multiple large and medium jazz ensembles, including the Swing Locomotive Big Band, the Bad Boys Big Band, Big Band Connexion, Disneyland Paris, ArchySax, Sax Paris Jazz and the Parisian Swing Band.

He has led his own groups, notably Dixième Planète, Jazz Composite and Stéphane Renard Valses Jazz.

 

He has accompanied singers Chrisine Caldi, Dick Annegarn, Pascal Dubroca and Annie Gould.

 

He has also played in classical orchestras such as the Orchestre Philharmonique of Seine-St Denis, the Orchestre Philharmonique of Radio France and the chamber orchestra Amati, as well as the theater company Nag'Airs, the tango quartet Tanopium and the variety orchestra of Charly Oleg.

Stéphane Renard currently teaches at several conservatories in the Paris region. He joined the PARIS JAZZ REPERTORY SEPTET in 2012.
